Beach Parasailing
Fifteen minutes above the Manuel Antonio coastline. You take a few steps off the sand and the beach leaves.
A few steps off the sand and the beach leaves.
Parasailing here starts on the beach rather than on a boat. You are fitted with a harness and a life vest, clipped to the canopy and given the instructions on the sand, and then you walk a few steps forward and the ground goes out from under you.
The flight itself is around fifteen minutes. From up there the coast opens out: the forested headland of the park, the islands offshore, the surf line running north. It is much quieter than people expect.
You take a few steps forward and the beach simply leaves.
More about this tour
It finishes with a gentle landing in the Pacific and a jet ski that comes out to bring you back in. Briefing to towel, the whole thing takes about an hour.
One, two or three people fly together on the same canopy, and the price is for the flight rather than for each of you. If there are two of you, that is the part worth knowing: it is one figure, not two.
Here's how the 1 hour unfolds.
Every step is planned so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.
Harness and the briefing.
Life vest, harness and how the flight works, on the sand before anything else happens.
A few steps and up.
The canopy takes your weight and lifts you straight off the beach. No boat to board and no jetty to walk out on.
The coast from above.
The park headland, the islands offshore and the surf line, with the boat working below you.
Down into the Pacific.
A gentle landing in the water, then a jet ski comes out and runs you back to the sand.
