Today at Coconuts

Breakfast
7:30 AM to 9:30 AM Included with every room, made to order.
Lunch and dinner
1:00 PM to 9:00 PM One kitchen, one menu, all afternoon and evening.
Bar

A roof, some lights, and no walls to speak of.

Coconuts sits under a high open roof strung with lights, one side on the pool, the other a wall of river stone and living green.

The waterfall the hotel is named for runs down through that stone into the pool, a few steps from the nearest table.

More about the room
The man made waterfall running over river stones into the pool, with a carved stone iguana at the edge and the lit bar visible beyond
A breakfast plate of rice and beans, two fried eggs, toast and fried sweet plantain with a pot of sour cream, on a woven mat beside a bowl of pineapple, watermelon and banana and a coffee in a mug carrying the hotel's mark

Slow mornings start here.

Cooked to order, with the fruit cut that morning. Served 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, the jungle on one side and the pool on the other.

Not a rate add-on and not a buffet tray. It comes with the room, every room, every morning.

Poolside

A little later.
A little longer.

Same roof, same room, same people, running 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The counter is along the pool, so you can get there without drying off properly.

There is a table
with your name on it.

We would love to welcome you. Message us and we will hold one: tell us how many of you there are, what time, and anything the kitchen should know about.

You do not have to be staying with us. The kitchen is open to everyone from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, whether you are upstairs in a room or somewhere else in Quepos entirely.

Request a table on WhatsApp

The same number as the hotel, answered by the same people.

Everything else.

The things guests ask us at the desk, and a few they ask once they are sitting down.

Can I eat at Coconuts if I am not staying at the hotel?

Yes. Coconuts is open to everyone, not only to hotel guests, for the kitchen and for the bar. The hours for both are in the panel at the top of this page.

Do I need to book a table?

Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it. There is no separate restaurant line: a table, a question about the menu and a room booking all reach the same number.

Is breakfast included with the room?

Yes, with every room, every morning. Everything is cooked to order and the fruit is cut that morning; the dishes are on the breakfast card on this page.

What does the dining room look like inside?

Costa Rican rather than tropical by numbers: carved Boruca masks on the dark walls, pierced ceramic lamps, heavy wooden tables, and a bar of the same wood with stools carved to match.

What is it like in the evening?

Lit low and blue, with the sound of water moving over rock underneath everything. The waterfall does not stop when the kitchen closes.

Is there coffee or something sweet outside meal times?

Toward the back, past the kitchen pass, there is a glass case of pastries and desserts and a coffee machine that runs all day.

What kind of food is on the menu?

Costa Rican staples next to pizza, flat breads and a quinoa bowl. The full kitchen menu is on this page. The desserts change, so ask what there is that day.

Does the bar open before the kitchen?

It does, so the counter along the pool is running while lunch is still being prepped. You can get there without drying off properly, and the snacks list on the menu is there for exactly that reason.

Breakfast is easier when you are already here

It comes with every room, and the walk from your door to the table is about a minute of jungle.
