Booking and payment

By completing the online booking you authorise us to charge the full amount of the reservation to the card you registered. If the card transaction fails at any point in the booking, you will need to register another card before the reservation can be confirmed.

A deposit is required to guarantee a reservation immediately. We reserve the right to validate only reservations covered by a deposit, and a reservation that is not guaranteed may be cancelled without notice.

Rates, taxes and extra guests

Rates are quoted per room, per night, for single or double occupancy. Published rates are subject to 13 percent tax, or whatever the applicable rate is at the time if it changes.

An additional guest is anyone beyond the two people a room is priced for. Each additional guest is 25 US dollars per night plus the 13 percent tax. Children under eight stay free when sharing with their parents, up to two children per room.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Check-out is before 11:00 AM.

We will always try to accommodate an early arrival or a late departure. An early check-in depends on the room being clean and ready, and cannot be promised in advance. A late check-out is subject to availability and carries a 25 US dollar fee.

If you are going to arrive after 9:00 PM, tell us in advance so somebody is expecting you.

Cancelling a reservation

What you are refunded depends on the rate you booked, and the full breakdown is on our cancellation policy page.

Two rules apply to every rate. A no-show is not refunded, in any season. Unused nights are not refunded when you leave early, in any season.

All cancellations must be made in writing by email. We do not accept cancellations by telephone, and a cancellation is only valid once we have confirmed to you that we received it.

Room upgrades

An upgrade to a higher room category depends on what is available when you arrive. We cannot hold one open in advance.

House rules and conduct

We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to any guest whose behaviour is abusive or threatening towards other guests or our staff. Where that happens, no refund is due.

Prostitution and the exploitation of anyone under age are illegal in Costa Rica and are not permitted anywhere on this property under any circumstances. Any guest who breaks this rule will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund, and we will involve the authorities where the law requires it.

Circumstances beyond our control

We are not liable for a failure to provide what was arranged when the cause is beyond human control.

That includes weather, road and flight delays, strikes, civil disturbance, quarantine, and restrictions or regulations imposed by government. We cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or additional expense arising from any of those, and such costs fall to the guest.

Where a stay is prevented by one of these, we will offer to move your booking to new dates, subject to what is available.

Liability

We take reasonable care of you and your belongings while you are with us, and nothing in these terms removes a liability that Costa Rican law does not allow us to exclude.

Beyond that, we do not accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage to a person or to property arising from a service outside our control, including activities and tours operated by other companies that we may introduce you to.

Governing law

The hotel is in Quepos, Costa Rica, and these terms are governed by Costa Rican law. Any dispute is dealt with by the courts of Costa Rica.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your stay are the ones published when you made your reservation, and the date at the top of this page tells you when this version was last reviewed.
