Built into a tropical hillside
The hotel is built up a hillside in pieces, so some rooms mean walking and stairs. If that is a concern, the two rooms on the flat are Garden View Room and Garden View Condo .
Tree Top Canopy Two canopy suites tucked at the top of the hillside, where the macaws fly past the terrace and the monkeys stop by for breakfast.
Where the monkeys are your cheering squad
The location was picked for its diversity and its views: capuchin monkeys past the deck, scarlet macaws crossing the sky in pairs.

More about the room
It's the kind of room you book once because it sounds adventurous, then talk about for months. Couples come here for honeymoons. Photographers come for the light. Returning guests come because they've already learned the trail.
Queen beds, quiet AC, mini fridges and coffee makers in each. From the bathroom's teal mosaic tile to the herringbone wood wall behind the bed, every element was chosen by the family hands that built this place. We knew people would make a little extra effort for that reward, and we were right. Most of the time. Some guests have re-named the walk "the workout."

What is in the room
Nothing flashy. Just what makes a jungle stay easy.
The trail is part of the deal.
It sits at the very top of the property, up a steep, jungle-lined walk. Not recommended for guests with mobility concerns or for pregnant guests.
If stairs aren't your thing, we have several beautiful rooms at ground level, and we'd never let you book the wrong one for your needs.
The monkeys will be your cheering squad on the trek up.
Before you book
- Steep hillside trail The walk up is short but steep and demanding.
- Not for mobility issues Several roots, uneven steps, and steep grades.
- Not recommended in pregnancy Especially in the second and third trimesters.
- Bring real shoes Sandals are not ideal. Closed-toe shoes are best.
- We carry your bags Just let us know your arrival time in advance.
- Wildlife is real wildlife Don't feed the monkeys. They will remember.
