Four hours on the water, ending in the sunset.
This is the afternoon people talk about on the last night of the trip. You are collected at the hotel, taken down to Marina Pez Vela, and on the water by early afternoon with the Manuel Antonio coast on one side and open Pacific on the other.
The boat works along the headlands to a sheltered bay where the water is clear enough to snorkel. Gear is aboard and there is no swimming test to pass. Plenty of people spend the whole stop in a life jacket with their face in the water, and that works perfectly well.
Nobody photographs the last twenty minutes well. Everybody remembers them.

Lunch is served on board and the bar is open the whole way: cocktails, beer and soft drinks. Somewhere between the snorkel stop and the harbour the light turns, everybody stops talking for a while, and that is the part nobody photographs well and everybody remembers.
Dolphins turn up often enough that the crew watch for them. Humpbacks pass this coast, and turtles surface beside the boat. None of it is promised here, because none of it can be.

Pickup at Las Cascadas.
The van collects you from the hotel lobby and runs down to the marina.
Cast off from Marina Pez Vela.
Boarding, a safety briefing, then out past the breakwater and along the coast.
Snorkel stop in a sheltered bay.
Gear out and time in the water. Life jackets for anyone who would rather float than swim.
Lunch and the open bar.
Food is served aboard while the boat works its way back along the headlands.
In as the light goes.
Back into the marina, then the short run up to the hotel.
