The Cowboy is a thirty-foot Bertram out of Marina Pez Vela, which is the marina at the end of our street, and this is her half-day trip. Five hours rather than nine, and inshore water rather than the run out to the deep.
Inshore is the calmer option and that is the honest reason most families choose it. You stay in sight of the coast, the ride is easier on anybody unsure about their stomach, and five hours is about as long as a first fishing trip wants to be.
Calmer water, shorter day, and the fish are worth having.

The fish are different close in. Roosterfish, snapper and jacks are what this water holds, and a roosterfish on light tackle is one of the better fights available anywhere near here.
Same boat, same crew and the same price structure as the full day: the charge is for the boat rather than for each person aboard, up to four anglers.
