Sportfishing
Full-Day on the Cowboy
Full-day offshore on the Cowboy. Family-run charter, decades of local knowledge. Up to 4 anglers.
A full day offshore.
The Cowboy is a thirty-foot Bertram working out of Marina Pez Vela, which is the marina at the end of our street. That matters more than it sounds: a seven o’clock departure is a walk down the hill rather than an hour in a van before the day has even started.
Nine hours gives the boat the range to fish properly rather than staying close in. She carries tournament-grade tackle and the electronics to find fish with, and the crew know where things are holding this week.
The price is for the boat, not for each person standing on it.
More about this tour
Offshore here means marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna and mahi-mahi. What is running on the day is what is running. Nobody controls that, and a charter that tells you otherwise is guessing with your money.
The price is for the boat rather than for each person on it, up to four anglers. Captain, mate, tackle, bait, lunch and drinks are all in it.
Here's how the 9 hours unfold.
Every step is planned so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.
Walk down to the marina.
A walk from the hotel rather than a transfer. There is no early van and no meeting point to find in the dark.
Lines away from Marina Pez Vela.
Aboard the Cowboy, out past the breakwater and onto the offshore grounds.
Working the offshore grounds.
Trolling the water the crew have been fishing. Lunch and drinks aboard, shaded seating and a head on board.
Back into the marina.
In with whatever the day gave you, and the walk back up to the hotel.
Everything that's included, and everything to bring.
