Savegre River Rafting
Family
Scenic rafting on the Savegre. Perfect for families and beginners who want the river without the chaos.
The one you can bring the children on.
The Savegre is the gentle one, and that is the whole point of it rather than an apology. Six hours, gentle water, and a river that suits children from about six upwards. It is the trip families come back down the hill talking about.
Because the water is easier there is time for the rest of it. The route passes waterfalls coming in off the valley side, and the boats stop: to swim, to look at birds, to sit on a rock for ten minutes. On the harder rivers there is no room for any of that.
Easy enough that there is time to stop and look at things.
More about this tour
It is still a raft on a moving river, so there are waves and everybody gets wet and the children generally enjoy that most of all. What there is not is anything that requires nerve.
The rapid class is given slightly differently depending on who you ask, so this page does not print one. What is not in doubt, and what matters when you are deciding, is that this is the beginner and family river of the three.
Here's how the 6 hours unfold.
Every step is planned so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.

Two departures. The van collects the whole group from the lobby.
