I loved this hotel, the staff, the energy, and the food at Coconuts. We saw a white face monkey who came in for a casual visit, toucans flying above us, and so many beautiful animals. This is definitely family friendly.

Wonderful stay! The whole team especially Madelyn went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect time in Costa Rica. Cannot recommend this place enough! Can’t wait to go back!
-
Location: 10/10 stars. EXTREMELY accessible to downtown Quepos and the public bus for Manuel Antonio. Rooms: 10/10 stars. Got to wake up in our little jungle paradise. Clean- Kitchen fully functional- cleaned daily. Value: 10/10 stars. 100% will be coming back. I mean happy hour.... AND access to a pool Atmosphere: 200/10 stars. WOW WOW WOW... this was my 30th birthday trip- and all I wanted was to wake up on my birthday in one of my favorite places. The Rogers Family AND Madelyn far exceeded expectations for this trip. Madelyn quickly took us under her wing and made us feel like family and not just another guest. She even went out of her way to sprinkle some magic my birthday morning, that I felt SO special! She and every single employee on site truly know what it means to share the Pura Vida life style!!!!

I chose a specific hotel for our family’s jungle experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. They offered a variety of options for exploring the city, including local restaurants and businesses. The food was delicious, and the hotel had a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. We even got to meet the owner and learn more about the hotel’s history and philosophy. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Costa Rica.
-
I had so much fun here everyone was very nice and it honestly felt kind of like a community everything was so seamless
-
Let me tell you about this place. It was amazing. The rooms were perfectly furnished, and so beautiful. Had such a tropical vibe. But the best thing here was the bar smoothies!!!!. It was the best smoothie I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’ve been to multiple other countries, but the fruit here is so fresh and so good. The best smoothie ever made hands down. Definitely recommend their food and service overall loved my Experience there. Their Morning Breakfast was limited, but tasted amazing and very nice service. Overall would definitely recommend and return.

It is a beautiful location! The stay was very comfortabel and the service was amazing. Also the owners were very nice and helpfull!

I loved every second of my stay at Las Cascadas Hotel. The place is beautifully located on a hill, surrounded by lush greenery. There is even a small waterfall on the property. You can spot plenty of wildlife such as monkeys, lizards and many kinds of birds. I also loved the way the place is designed / decorated, with whimsy details everywhere you look. The suites are spread across the hillside, each with its own charm, and the whole property has this playful energy that made every walk around the grounds feel like a small adventure. It's located in Quepos, close to lots of restaurants, and just a short drive from the attractions such as public beach, Playa Espadillas, and Manuel Antonio National Park. We chose a garden view apartment for our first few days, and it was a fully functional holiday apartment a bedroom with a comfortable bed and AC, a separate living room with a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. Since my partner and I wanted flexibility for a west coast Costa Rica road trip, we only booked a few nights at a time, and ended up booking the same place again for our way back. We also wanted to try the canopy room and booked it for the end of our trip, but when my partner felt unwell during a particularly hot stretch, the hotel manager kindly moved us to the family apartment downstairs instead. We were just as happy there. The hotel also offers a laundry service at a reasonable price (our laundry came back fresh and folded the next day) and has an evening restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight too. We loved the coconut pancakes and gallo pinto. We felt safe and relaxed the whole time. We would love to come back!
-
Incredible Boutique hotel! Pool and bar area is very relaxing. The bedroom is great and was clean upon arrival. About a 5-10 minute walk to the downtown and Marina is even closer. Overall affordable and great value. Always love to support family businesses! If you’re coming to Quepos you need to stay here.
-
Loved staying here. Very convenient if you are going fishing or looking for a quieter retreat. Beautiful room and grounds. The breakfast was very good and notably, Madelyn did a great job along with the rest of the staff. Looking forward to returning again!!!
-
We had a wonderful visit to Costa Rica and stayed 6 nights at Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas. From the time we got there we felt like we the staff knew us. Dillon and Madaline were so welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. Madaline contacted a local bakery to order a birthday cake and fresh bread to be delivered to the hotel within hours. They set up our local excursions that were a real highlight of our trip. It was such a special treat to see the monkeys come out of the hills and visit us. We went to Costa Rica to attend the Off World Fishing Tournament in Quepos. We really enjoyed our time in Quepos, Costa Rica.

This hotel has a wonderful location from Service, to rooms to experience everything was outstanding
-
We had a great experience in the treetop hotel for our honeymoon. Super romantic and beautiful views. It is a hike to get up there- but honestly it's not that bad. The views make it so worth it. Every morning we got woken up by the sound of howler monkeys which was so cool!!! Saw monkeys from our room and macaw parrots. Close walk to the marina and we walked there for dinner most nights. The food and drink was great at the hotel and they did the laundry for us. If you are adventurous and don't mind big hike and being super enclosed by nature you will love it.
-
Private setting for this charming hotel in beautiful surroundings. Walkable to downtown Quepos. Accommodating and polite staff.
-
Las Cascadas was perfect for our family of four with two small children! We stayed there for 8 days, it was our home base for multiple excursions in Manuel Antonio National Park, Rainmaker Park, the mangrove forests, and more. Even at the hotel itself, the wildlife was amazing! We saw scarlet macaws and toucans daily, and very frequently saw capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, iguanas, leaf cutter ants, lizards, and frogs! Our kids loved the pool, it was an awesome sanctuary from the heat, and the onsite restaurant was extremely convenient and delicious, (the included breakfast is great!) Extremely relaxing and family friendly, with helpful and bilingual staff, and easy and affordable taxi transportation to basically anything nearby (including Manuel Antonio and the public beaches). Highly recommended!
-
Exceptional hospitality and unforgettable wildlife! We recently stayed at this charming family-run hotel and were blown away by the warmth and kindness of our hosts. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. A huge thank you to the hosts for arranging a cake and a thoughtful gift for my son’s birthday. If you love nature, this is the place to be! We were treated to visits from monkeys, macaws, and a variety of beautiful birds right on the grounds. Both our room and the swimming pool were kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The breakfast was tasty, fresh, and the portions were always generous enough to start our day right. We had a few options to choose from plus fruits and hot drinks were offered as well as juice and water. A note for the future: The hotel has so much character and heart. As a small suggestion for future improvements, the rooms do feel a bit dated and the lighting is quite dim. Updating the decor and adding some brighter light fixtures would really elevate the guest experience. Overall we had a lovely stay. If you’re looking for a personal touch and amazing wildlife sightings, we highly recommend this hotel.
-
Very tropical and airy. Staff is friendly and very polite!! If you stay in treetops, beautiful views but definitely a little hike, 127 steps
-
This place is one of a kind, I enjoyed everything about it. The location, the service, the room, the views, and the food and drinks. We came for our 22nd anniversary, decided on the spot to stay 2 days and it did not disappoint. We got to see monkeys and macaws. The room was cleaned daily, and we had a fully equipped kitchen. We stayed at the Treetop honeymoon dome. Now you will have to climb up many stairs but it is so worth it. I’d recommend it to everyone. There is parking on site.
-
It was a beautiful relaxing experience. The facilities are really in tune with the local vegetation and terrain. Views from our window are amazing. Everything is clean the food is great and the staff makes you feel like family. This is NOT to say that I didn’t like this but some of the steps leading up to some of the rooms (including mine) are very steep. If you have any barriers to climbing steep steps then let the staff know when you are booking so they can put you in appropriate accommodations. I am glad we got the room we did for my first visit but when I come back I will definitely ask for accommodations on lower terrain. They have it all.
-
We loved this hotel! They did a fantastic job with the landscape, flowers, waterfalls, and pool. It's a very unique and cool place! The maccaws that are nesting nearby were so beautiful flying around. We saw lots of wildlife during our stay. The location was perfect as we had a rental vehicle, and everything was within a short 10 minute drive. We had the Toucan Room and it was huge and very clean. We loved the water feature in the room, and the kitchen was awesome, it even had a blender! The staff were all amazing, especially Madelyn who was the officiant for our beach wedding. She put together a beautiful ceremony and speech, and made such a memorable day for us ️ Thank you! And thank you to her husband for taking some incredible photos for us.
-
Fantastic hotel. Lovely staff family run independent hotel. Comfortable and spotless rooms. Good food and very local to the marina and Quepos town.
-
What a funky and well-loved hotel! The owner has an eye for art and you can their life's work over the past 30 years has been making this an artful, beautiful and singular bnb. We stayed in the uppermost room with domed ceiling and loved it! We didn't mind the stairs, but we're pretty fit. The nice part of the upper rooms is that you have a great view of a snag with birds' nest. The staff were fantastic and we enjoyed the company of the hotel dog.
-
The location is within walking distance from the marina. The staff is awesome, very attentive. It was nice relax in a slower paced atmosphere. Food and drinks were all excellent. The rooms are all built on a steep hill, which include many steps. This was not a problem for us, but if steps are a problem for you, you may want request a room by the parking area or contact them for more info.
-
The staff were excellent! We changed our plans halfway through our vacation because we saw that La Fortuna (where we were going next) hadn’t stopped raining for days. They figured out how to allow us to stay on the property with them. The property is in a great location to everything yet felt very private as it’s tucked up on a hill. The forest around and within the property is teeming with wildlife. Sit still for a while and you will notice. Breakfast is made to order every morning and they offer lunch/dinner menu if you desire. We had a wonderful time here for our entire week in Cost Rica. The parking area is limited. Although I believe that may no be longer be an issue some time soon in the future.
-
Spent a week in the Treetop Dome and loved every minute of it. Yes, there’s a climb up- of course! How else do you expect to enjoy wildlife in the rainforest? The staff are incredibly friendly and bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. The prices are more than fair, the drinks and breakfast delicious, and goodness it’s so fun to experience those monkeys! We can’t wait to come back to this beautiful place. Come here if you enjoy the outdoors, are in good shape for hiking, and appreciate pura vida!
-
Very friendly staff. Fabulous service. A short walk into town but a very steep Hill in and out. They have a small restaurant with excellent food. My only complaint about the rooms is the dim lighting in the rooms. It was impossible to read. Also, some rooms are quite small and tight.
-
We had a wonderful time as Las Cascadas ten members of one family including 4 kids from ages 3-12. One family had the two bedroom right off the pool, which was great, and had a patio beside the pool complete with hammock. Not noisy at all except when our happy children were in the pool! The dining area and small bar was right there as well, so you could enjoy a pina or a drink beside the pool. The other two families shared the Casa Cascadas which was roomy and had a sizeable kitchen, counter table for games, and a great outdoor patio Everything was clean and bright the breakfasts and our many dinners there were just delicious with amazing fresh fruit daily. The staff was helpful and arranged a couple tours for us, and when the tour shuttles picked us up before breakfast, the staff dropped off boxes of fruit, a bit of granola and yogurt to our rooms the night before. The staff was also very helpful before we arrived answering questions I emailed within a day. I had no frustrations. We saw plenty of wildlife right there at the pool an iguana who checked us out monkeys, toucans and our favorite scarlet macaws. Anyway I would go back again in a minute lots to see and do in the area.
-
Our stay at this boutique hotel was the highlight of our Costa Rican vacation. The owners, Gary, Katerina and their sons, were our gracious hosts, and the personalized service they provided made us feel like family. The hillside Toucan Suite and the locally-sourced breakfast each morning exceeded our expectations. Tours recommended by Madelyn, the concierge, did not disappoint. Short ride to Antonia Manuel National Park, the beach and Quepos. If you’re looking for a peaceful, escape, this hidden gem is the place to be.
-
Thank you, Dylan and Brandon, for always being so kind to us. The room was beautiful, and without a doubt being surrounded by animals is a unique experience. The hotel is also peaceful, with an excellent restaurant, and the staff in charge is amazing. Thank you very much for the excellent service.
-
I read many comments mentioning that the place is difficult to access or did not meet expectations. I stayed here for New Year’s, and I can confidently say the place is beautiful. Yes, it is located on a mountainside (it was mentioned before on the booking details) so there is a steep hill to reach the room—but that is exactly what allows you to be fully immersed in nature. If you are looking for an elevator-equipped, American-style hotel, this may not be the right fit. However, if your goal is to truly experience Costa Rica—its nature, wildlife, and peaceful surroundings—this place is absolutely worth it. The room met our expectations, the staff was friendly, and the location is stunning, completely surrounded by nature. 10/10 stay.
-
The only thing I can say is. Dylan Brandon and madeline are amazing.. if there's something you need or want toy do, they will make it happen.. this has become my favorite place to stay in Costa Rica .. thank you to the Rodgers family! I will return soon!!!
-
Amazing place with monkeys and macaws coming saying hello at breakfast! Friendly staff, good food and good choice of craft beers. Would definitely come back!
-
We had a great stay! The staff (Madeline and Dylan) were so lovely and gracious! Our apartment was spacious and all the common areas are well maintained. It’s indeed a hike up from the main street but if you have a car or take a taxi, it’s really no problem. The hotel offers organising tours which include transport and sometime meals they are competitively priced with reliable and knowledgeable guides! This made our stay completely hassle free.
-
This condotel is like no other! If you are looking for a whitewashed, Corporate, plane-Jane resort hotel don’t come here. While staying at the falls, You will be submerged in the beautiful surroundings of a tropical forest on a lush, hillside, tropical paradise. In the mornings, we could see scarlet macaws, an occasional toucan and in the evenings, a group of capuchins would swing through the property and play for a while. Dylan, the hotel manager was one of the friendliest people I have ever met. The food was delicious and we got exactly what we were looking for with our Costa Rican experience. This family has definitely put a lot of labor and a tons of love into this property.Thank you for making us feel so welcome and relaxed!!!
-
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Dylan went above and beyond to help us have a comfortable stay. He was very attentive and patient with my family. Superb customer service!
-
“Dylan was an excellent host. The beds were comfy and the house was cozy —we had a very restful sleep and delicious breakfast.
-
This was our 2nd stay at this amazing hotel in the last 4 years. We booked the 3 bedroom house for this trip and it was perfect for our family of 5. Huge kitchen and a wonderful balcony to relax on. Everyone there goes out of their way to help in anyway possible.
-
Las Cascadas is wonderful!! Great staff great food, wonderful pool and it’s so quiet! I was here getting my TEFL in downtown Quepos and the location of this hotel was perfect for walking to class everyday! It’s a friendly neighborhood and everyone from the families down the road to the banana club restaurant down the hill, to the staff at the hotel were welcoming and so kind!! The place was so clean- no bugs or anything for this scared solo traveler! The bed was a little springy but again it’s not about the luxury it’s about the time spent relaxing and being in nature. I was happy to have had air and hot water that’s a true luxury in Latin America. The staff was incredible! Madalyn (probably spelled that wrong, sorry Girl! :-) was so helpful and chatted with me nearly everyday! She is a woman that does everything! Cooks the best foods and is willing to go the extra mile to satisfy her guests and her family! I learned so much about her and am honored to have met such a wonderful human!!! All my love to you Madalyn! All the staff were amazing so helpful, the grounds managers were out everyday trimming trees, replastoring, etc to keep the lush garden feel alive and safe! The pool was immaculate everyday! The apartment I stayed in was perfect! Great for 2 people and I felt right at home with all the necessary amenities. Iv never traveled solo but because of Las Cascadas and the family Pura lifestyle I will definitely be back to do it again! Thank you again everyone for such a great relaxing trip!
-
I am so glad that we chose to stay here for our 4 day trip last month. The hotel itself was so unique and beautiful on the hillside, and I'm glad we chose the Garden View Condo! A few helpful notes for future visitors, that would've been helpful for us when booking: 1. They serve a full free breakfast that you should definitely plan for every day! They had choices ranging from pancakes / eggs / beans and rice / etc. It was more than just fruit, which made me happy :) It started at 7:30, which was good to do ahead of excursions (although often times our 8am excursions picked us up 20 minutes early, and we were pleased at how prompt the preordering was for the food. Huge kudos for these logistics.) 2. We were highly debating between the Garden View Condo and one of the rooms where you have to walk up the hill. If you're planning on staying in your room all day, absolutely do the hill ones for the view/privacy/etc. But even for two fit 20 something year olds, we would not have wanted to do the hill multiple times per day and it was actually nice to be near the restaurant/etc. 3. The restaurant, besides breakfast, was not superb. I'd recommend taking a walk or taxi to downtown Quepos! Highly recommend a stay here, and have fun!!
-
This was a fantastic little boutique hotel built more or less into the side of the mountain. Rooms are up the hill from the pool/reception area, so be prepared to walk stairs. Our room was like being in an airport control tower, with windows around a good 270 degrees, looking over the treetops. It was a very romantic and tropical room, but also had all the modern conveniences like great a/c, a fridge with complimentary water, and good wifi. The pool was a great place to relax after exploring Manuel Antonio, and the bar staff make some great cocktails. The staff were really helpful in arranging taxis, recommending restaurants and giving other tips for seeing the area. Included with the room was a daily breakfast in the poolside restaurant. It's a pretty basic selection of 3 options, served with fresh fruit and coffee/tea. It's a nice added touch, but nothing grand. One item to note is that the hotel is a bit remote from the 'action.' It's perfect, though, if you have your own car, but can be a challenge to get taxis or Uber to find the place if you don't have a car. It's about 15-20 minutes drive to Manuel Antonio park from here, and about 5 to downtown Quepos. Personally I loved the seclusion of the place and the fact it was off the beaten path.
-
An absolutely beautiful property with the kindest staff! My girlfriend and I loved our stay. Madelyn and Dallas were super helpful and attentive during our stay from helping us book excursions to making the best ceviche and margaritas. Our experience couldn’t have been better without them and we are excited to come back again! Definitely recommend staying here!
-
This was our first stop and wow did Las Cascadas set the bar high! Dallas is amazing and made our experience one of the best we have ever had. Don’t think twice, book Las Cascadas, you will not regret it!! Thank you Dallas, Madeline and all the amazing staff at Las Cascadas! We will be back!!!
-
Las Cascadas was our first hotel stay in Costa Rica and it did not disappoint. The environment was very cute, restaurant had delicious food, bar drinks were the best and hospitality was off the charts. I definitely recommend this place for a welcoming stay.
-
From the moment we arrived, the service at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, but what really made our stay memorable was the incredible service we received—especially from Dallas. Dallas was hands-on the entire time and truly went above and beyond. Whether it was making sure our room was just right, helping with dinner reservations, or checking in throughout our stay to see if we needed anything, Dallas handled everything with professionalism and care. It felt like we had a personal concierge the whole time. Nothing was too small or too much trouble. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome. Dallas is a standout and a big reason we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this hotel—and if you’re lucky enough to be looked after by Dallas, you’re in excellent hands.
-
Wow! First visit to CR and Las Cascadas delivered. The service, the rooms, the vibes.. Pura Vida! Thank you Dallas for the great service, don’t miss out on this gem ️
-
Dallas was amazing!!! Best host I have ever had very attentive and caring and just loves helping people. If you come be sure to as for Dallas!!!
-
We spent the last 3 nites of our trip in Costa Rica here at this lovely family owned and run boutique hotel. Dallas was super communicative and helpful during our stay. The staff was very friendly here. The harbor was very nice and walking distance. We loved the wildlife all around the property. We will be back!
-
Outstanding Service From the moment we arrived (checking in around 8pm due to a late excursion) it was glaringly apparent that the service at this hotel was incredible. Dallas was amazing our entire stay! We were first shown a map of Quepos where he gave us a comprehensive review of the whole city and his favorite spots and places to avoid. When we mentioned we wanted to go rafting the night prior, he immediately booked it and had us picked up from the hotel at 8:15 the next morning. The drinks are phenomenal (best Margarita in CR) and the pool is also amazing. Overall we did not see many other guests around the property which made our stay feel private and romantic. They ask for you to reserve a time for the complimentary breakfast which in our experience was fast and very fresh. The pancakes are amazing and the traditional CR breakfast was also great. Property/Stay The wildlife is incredible as in our 3 day stay we saw 10-15 Scarlet Macaws flying every morning, deer and at least 10 squirrel monkeys making their way through the resort. There’s also a toucan nest that we didn’t get the chance to see due to our busy schedule. We were able to see all of this due to the staff’s extensive knowledge of nearby wildlife. We stayed in the Treetop Canopy room 12. I can not believe to see so many negative reviews… believe it or not…. the TREETOP room is, well, in the treetops!!! Yes, it is a hike. Wear grippy shoes and use the railing. Or, there are many other beautiful private rooms to choose from. The hike up the hill each night couldn’t have been more worth it as the morning views of the canopy from our lovely balcony with the many wildlife sightings was magical. The room itself was clean, fresh, the AC worked and the bed was comfy. The staff and overall atmosphere made us truly feel at home here! We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit C. R. Dallas and the entire staff went above and beyond and made our trip so special, so an extra thanks to you guys for making our vacation as memorable as it was! Pura Vida
-
Clean rooms, excellent service, delicious breakfast, great location, friendly staff, lots of wildlife. What's not to love?
-
Best experience ever.. loved the hotel. Dallas is amazing. So informative and very helpful. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Breakfast increíble. You should definitely consider staying here. Very nice property. Family truly enjoyed it.
-
This hotel made us feel like we were right in the jungle mixed with a little luxury. We saw and heard cool exotic animals from our room. The breakfast was delicious every morning as well. I enjoyed some very good rice, beans, eggs and toast. The best part of the hotel however were the owner and workers at the hotel. They went above and beyond to meet our every need. From helping us with laundry to constantly giving us advice on where to go explore and eat, they were always willing to lend a helping hand.
-
Had a great time here! Dallas the owner and the staff were super helpful. Highly recommend this place. Would stay here again!
-
We booked the 2-bedroom deluxe room, which turned out to be a spacious two-story place with a full kitchen. The property itself was amazing — we absolutely loved it. We were greeted by Madelyn when we arrived, and she was such a great host. She walked us through everything we needed to know about the property and answered all our questions about Quepos. She even gave us some great restaurant recommendations, which we ended up loving. Madelyn truly made our stay better with her friendly demeanor and her constant willingness to help us with anything we needed. The friendly and family vibe that this place naturally get people to bond over from spotting animals on the property to sharing the helpful tips for excursions. One morning a bunch of us got up and enjoyed seeing an awesome tucan on a tree because someone shouted "tucan!" :) This place is definitely a hidden gem. Also, shoutout to Anita, who served breakfast — she was super friendly too.
-
Its really a boutique hotel close to the forest with lots of birds visiting. Breakfast is refreshing and excellent. Location, surroundings, set up, garden, staff, breakfast.
-
Very welcoming staff and so close to everything you would want to visit in the Quepos area. Prices were affordable and it's not a crowded place to stay. My family and I will always remember our visit here!! My family and I loved the pool. Staff really keeps the rooms clean. It was SOOO cool to wake up in the morning for coffee, go sit outside and hear the beautiful macaws who live here. Also heard many other wild birds and some howling monkeys. Good chance you stay here and get to see some monkeys playing around!!
-
Overall we really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was very quiet at the time of our visit which created a calm & relaxing environment. The pool was great always clean. We really enjoyed that the hotel was walking distance to Quepos / lots of delicious local sodas. We always felt safe at the hotel and the staff were very friendly; we experienced a lot of heavy rain one evening and they even came down to our room to make sure we were okay. We saw a lot of reviews saying the rooms were outdated and dirty but I disagree! I think the rooms have more of a vintage, eclectic aesthetic, which we enjoyed. Our room was always clean and also had AC which was life saving in the heat. There were also a few reviews complaining about breakfast taking a long time but this was not our experience we were always served breakfast promptly so it seems like they streamlined how they run breakfast service. Overall we loved our time here and would not only come back but would also recommend it to others. Thank you Rogers family & Las Cascadas staff!
-
Loved this hotel, great free breakfast each morning, when we had a tour they packed up a fruit platter and yogurt for us. Lovely pool area, grounds are so lush and beautiful and had a real relaxing tropical vibe. Not far from the marina and Quepos. Saw some monkeys and makaws on the property. Not a modern feeling hotel, but that is what make it so charming. Would love to return.
-
Absolutely a wonderful place. Staff is incredible! They cooked our fresh catch, went out of their way with hospitality. We will be back! Convenient to marina and downtown Quepos. Thank you Dillan Branden, and Madelyn!!!! Place is clean, friendly, and personable.
-
A fabulous place. Quirky and unusual in the best possible way. Beautiful situation in lush vegetation with lots to see from your terrace. Comfortable room and attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely return and recommend. Thanks and pura vida!
-
Every day and even the day we left the staff and place was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend getting off the beach and checking this place out.
-
Chill vibes tucked into the tropical hillside, family owned and operated we absolutely loved our stay here. They go out of their way to assist you with your plans. Great location close to Marina, restaurants and town. Each room is unique and decor is Costa Rican casual. Tropical plants everywhere are gorgeous and pool has relaxing waterfall. Beware of steep steps to some rooms but the views and interactions with wildlife are worth it! Try it out!
-
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! A main highlight for us was how much wildlife we encountered just around the grounds. We saw parrots, monkeys and iguanas daily. Our room was clean and had a nice tv. The guys at reception , the bar staff and the caretaker were all very helpful, great employees. 100% recommend.
-
Great views and an easy walk to the marina. Helpful with setting up excursions. Restaurant on site with delicious food. The staff were amazing and one of the highlights of our stay.
-
Incredible staff and ambiance! Saw some of the best wildlife from my balcony! The food and drinks were all made with fresh ingredients. They set up almost all of the transportation and events for me. The pool is very refreshing and cleaned daily. I came with a large group and the whole staff from the cleaners to the owners pitched in to make it amazing!
-
Great views and an easy walk to the marina. Very helpful with setting up excursions. Restaurant on site with delicious food and free breakfast. The staff were amazing and one of the highlights of our stay. We had a large group and they were very accommodating.
-
the staff was really friendly and helpful. the hotel room was huge and equipped well. the bed was super comfy, the pool was great, the breakfast was delicious aswell. would recommend this place to everyone :)
-
Our family had a great time at Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas! We were in the Two Bedroom Deluxe unit which was ideal for our family (separate rooms but same shared common area). The staff were super friendly, the rooms were clean, the showers were steady/hot, and the pool/bar area was relaxing. The first day we were there about 20 monkeys came by! There was also a pair of macaws which nested near the hotel, so we would see them frequently. The location, close to the marina and downtown Quepos, was also great. We would definitely stay at this “condotel” again.
-
We had amazing service and special care from all of the staff involved, the breakfast was a great addition and the location couldn’t be better. It was very close to everything and felt safe and tucked away compared to other places we’ve visited in the area.
-
We enjoyed being hidden away in the forest. Yet we were still close to restaurants and beaches. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was more than enough space for our family of 4. Really nice to have the kitchen and outdoor space. Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant menu is limited but the food served was tasty. Nice to have the pool available for the kids.

I wanted to take my husband on an adventure for his 40th bday and I came across Hotel Boutique Las Cascadas in my search for a hotel in Quepos that offered more than just a stay. He loves fishing this hotel is 8 min walk from the marina, 10 min from other restaurants and shops. I got their Mahi package ( airport transportation, 2 days of fishing and a guided tour to Manuel Antonio Ntl. Park) We extended our stay for 7 days and EVERYTHING was taken care to a level of excellence nothing short of any high end hotel. The Rogers family and their hotel staff takes the bussiness of making sure you have a memorable experience while in Quepos and at their property very seriously. They went above and beyond helping me surprise my husband and arranging all the tours we wanted to do. They even cooked the Tuna he caught on his off shore trip and oh boy! the detail put into the dish preparation and its presentation was impressive. All the rooms have a beautiful view of the luscious Costa Rican nature, some require a little walk but even that makes you feel more immerse with nature. November is rainy season and IMO made it even more beautiful. So if you're looking to have an amazing, fun yet relaxing time while in Quepos look no more Hotel Las Cascadas in your place... and if during your stay you are lucky enough to have Brandon, Dallas or Dylan in charge know you're in for a treat.

This is a beautiful property with amazing owners who really know how to take care of their guests! ️ Pura vida!

This was a celebration for our 19 year wedding anniversary that my wife found through her searches. She has wanted to do something like this ever since we’ve been married to where we could travel and see all of the exotic birdsand species. She showed me what she found and I told her to go ahead with it. We booked it for a 10 day adventure. We arrived in the evening, exhausted from the delayed flight and the flight itself and the journey to the airport, but when we arrived and checked in, they were extremely welcoming and inviting. They took us up to our room, which was one of their top suites on the resort and we were amazed at the cleanliness and the beauty of our room. We ate dinner at the restaurant that is on site and let me say the food is amazing. The next day after recouping and getting some rest, we were able to rest at the resort and find out more about it and the owners, and let me say this is a resort that I will recommend to anyone who wants to escape and reset and enjoy the beauty that God gives. we are only in our second day, but so far they have gone above and beyond of what a five star resort and a big city, would give to their guest. To complete this review at the end of our trip, this resort is a resort that would be recommended to anyone as it is a special place. If you were looking for a place to relax and really reset this is a little gem in Quepos.

Lovely boutique hotel, family run with wonderfully designed unique rooms, lush green surroundings with flowers everywhere and many resident birds, including scarlet macaws. Staff are super helpful and accommodating, fluently bilingual and the food was high quality and freshly prepared.

I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. It really is the perfect place to stay while visiting Quepos. You are within walking distance of the new high end marina area that has restaurants and shops. You are also within walking distance of the town. The hotel sits at the top of a steep hill but not a problem if you aren’t in bad shape. The thing that makes the hotel so special is its amazing staff. They are like part hotel staff part travel agents. You can WhatsApp them and they will plan almost anything for you. If you need a Manuel Antonio tour, no problem. A transfer to the airport? That isn’t a problem either. And they remember you and greet you every day like you are old friends. My son loved the pool. And since it is a small hotel, a lot of times, he was the only one in the pool. The restaurant is great. We would definitely stay again.
-
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel, in a 2 bedroom unit by the pool. Firstly, the customer service was excellent. Any requests from us met with a sincere willingness to help. The property is very clean and close to downtown and the marina. The cocktails and fruit smoothies were always great. Our kids loved the pool.
-
An amazing boutique hotel in Manuel Antonio. Lovely staff to greet you and welcome you to their beautiful getaway. They give you all the necessary info one would need visiting this place and then some more. Loved the rooms, gives you this Hotel and Airbnb vibe with well thought-out decor. Loved their breakfast, not your typical boring buffet but a set menu cooked fresh right then n there. And it was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

We took our honeymoon in Costa Rica with this hotel and absolutely loved it! |Everything is kept very clean and the staff is so friendly and generous. The hotel is in walking distance of everything you would want and the staff is very helpful with finding your way around or booking activities. You get to experience the jungle and can hear or see howler monkeys and macaws from the rooms. We went near the end of June and it was also very quiet and private (for example, we often for the pool to ourselves). The food at the hotel restaurant is all amazing. If you plan to do more than the complimentary breakfast through the hotel you should expect them to be $20-30 per meal.

A gem away from the hustle and bustle of town. The Cascadas create a relaxing atmosphere. The room had a beautiful view and you don’t feel that any other rooms are nearby.

We loved our stay at Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas The Falls. The staff were personable hosts who gave helpful recommendations to local restaurants and activities. The ambience at this hotel included the constant sounds of running water, wild life spottings, occasional live music, tiki torches, and outdoor murals painted by a local artist. The restaurant menu included traditional American options that kept my kids happy, like chicken fingers and pancakes, but also more authentic dishes you might hope to enjoy in Costa Rica. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. My family rented the largest unit on property which comfortably accommodated the six of us with room to spare. It included three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a large outdoor patio and a comfortable living room. Our unit was conveniently located steps away from the hotel’s pool and restaurant. The hotel itself is less than a 5 minute drive to a charming marina that is the start point for excursions like snorkeling and fishing, but it’s also a pleasant area to visit for views, restaurants and shops. World famous Manual Antonio beach and Playa Espadilla Norte is about a 15 minute drive. We had no problem navigating these areas in our rental car. Throughout our stay at Hotel Las Cascadas we felt safe and had no issues communicating in English. We traveled to Costa Rica during rainy season, and while it did rain at times, we didn’t find the weather to be an issue at all. We highly recommend this hotel, especially because the staff were so warm and friendly!
-
Situated close to Manuel Antonio and in the village of Quepos, Hotel Las Cascadas is a hidden gem. The feeling of remoteness in the area was appealing to my teens and me, even though it was only a short walk from the marina, bus stops, Quepos, and the breathtaking Macha beach. The personnel was very kind and accommodating, and we observed that they were vigilant about their well-maintained property. They were excited to show us macaws and monkeys, which was another way we could tell how much they loved life. After an amazing day filled with experiences, we would be able to return to the staff's and the property's warmth and safety. Dinners there were also quite tasty!

The hotel is a short distance from the downtown. Certainly walkable or if it is hot then it is an inexpensive cab ride. The hotel rooms were all unique, which my husband and I truly appreciated. In the mornings we enjoyed the Costa Rician coffee and watching the red macawes fly overhead. Although the nicest asset was the hotel owners and staff. Just a most accommodating people.

This was my wife's and my second stay at the Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas. This time we brought our young adult sons. Again, the Rogers family was extremely thoughtful, gracious, and helpful. For example, when they found out it was one of our son's birthdays (and that he had an egg allergy), they offered to make a cake out of fruit and allow us to surprise him with it. I uploaded a photo so it can be seen how nice it came out. They were again very helpful in that they organized all four of our excursions. All we had to do was be ready when the driver showed up to pick us up. We were able to get a list of the options and discuss them via WhatsApp ahead (and during) our trip. We felt well prepared thanks to their advice, and really enjoyed all four of them. Also, we had a delicious dinner at the restaurant by the pool one of the nights. While you feel like you are in the jungle because of all of the beautiful flowers, trees, and wildlife (we saw macaws, capuchin monkeys, iguanas, and other birds on the property), you are a short walk to the marina (Marina Pez Vela) and 0.5 mile to downtown Quepos. We continue to strongly recommend the Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas without hesitation and hope to return soon.
-
The entrance needs to improve. It gives a bad impression of the place, it's like what did I rent. Once you see your room, surroundings, and service, they're provided. You immediately say I'm glad I rented this place, and I will definitely book again.
-
What can I say other then AMAZING!!!! The grounds are lovely set on the side of a mountain you are immersed into the jungle wildlife with Macaws, toucan and monkeys all around. The CANADIAN family that runs the place is fantastic. Always happy to help with anything you need and will even assist I booking attractions/tours as well as cabs and airport shuttles. I could go on and on and on but all you need to know is that if you visit Costa Rica, Boutique Las Cascadas is a must to stay. PURA VIDA!!
-
Fantastic design and location. The staff went above and beyond and made everything really unforgettable. The macaws in the trees were amazing. The breakfast and the pool so nice. Thank you again for everything! Not applicable

Bet you can’t find a better experience than las cascades hotel! This is a beautiful and very well maintained family run hotel. As soon as we got here we felt like we in paradise, with all the wild animals birds, monkeys ect. We stayed in the tree top mountain view room and were so happy we did with the floor to ceilings windows, great size room with a great view. For eating and drinks they have a full kitchen and bar on site with a great chef Dallas making amazing home made food and coming up with beautiful and amazing tasting meals. Even had to check out the pool area with its Own waterfall. Don’t forget to check out the tourist attractions, we did the white water rafting and kayaking with the monkeys who will come to you and eat out of your Hand Las cascades is a easy mush if ever on your way to Costa Rica
-
Very rarely do we spend time in our accommodations. But between the pool, the restaurant, and the wildlife on property, we had everything we needed on property!
-
An absolute gem! Really comfortable room; very good food; loved seeing macaws and toucans with our happy hour cocktails. Easy walk down to marina. Martha and Dallas incredibly kind and helpful. Delightful pool for much-needed cooling off. Let us park our (large) camper for two nights and did our laundry for us which was a bonus!
-
Our stay at Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas was great. The location was easy to find and we could walk down to the town for shopping or to the marina to watch the boats. The staff was fantastic and attentive. The rooms were spacious and clean and conformable. We had a great time stating at Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas.
-
Very nicely managed boutique hotel, the upper cabin has very good view and quiet but need some leg work. The dinning is excellent. The Tomahawk stear is best ever, great steak cooked to perfection. The fishes, snook, Mahi Mahi are great. Excellent chefs.
-
This review is way overdue. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I have nothing bad to say. The service was excellent. The youngsters working there have the best attitude! I loved the vibe and you can tell Dylan, Dallas, Marta (love her) and Maurice (I probably misspelled his name- sorry) just to name a few. You can tell they love what they do, their attention to detail is amazing, they are very attentive. Dylan was able to find my husband and I an ATV tour that was perfect for us. The breakfast was delicious, dinner was amazing (thank you, Dallas). I have no doubt next time we’ll come to the area we for sure will be staying here again! Thank you all for making our stay extra special! Pura vida chicos!
-
The hotel was beautiful. the amenities were gorgeous and the service outstanding. I was in a room came on Airbnb, so it wasn’t quite up to the standards of the other hotel rooms but then the price reflected that overall a great experience. And walking into town and back is difficult because there’s a big hill and it was so unbearably hot.
-
Incredible. Absolutely perfect home base for the southwest coast. Friendly and helpful staff. Grounds are spectacular a mated pair of macaws nests in a palm trunk you can watch from the pool, a toucan sat on our windowsill one day and monkeys run through the trees. The food? Top notch and reasonably priced. The chef is passionate about menu planning and delivers something new every day all of it local. Accommodations are very spacious for C America. AC kept up with the heat. Even a little parking lot for those who are renting a vehicle. Speaking of, you don't need a car we shuttled in and out of San José for
-
The hotel is built into the mountains. We were greeted by one of the extremely helpful and kind staff (and family) members. We were checked into a beautiful and large "villa" type of rooms. It had 3 bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a huge kitchen and lovely patio off this kitchen. The food served each evening was amazing and cooked by one of the family members. Highly recommend this hotel.
-
Coming from Toronto visiting Manuel Antonio National Park this place was absolutely awesome. The entire staff speaks excellent English and it's very easy to communicate with them. I think the owner is Canadian! The hotel itself is located in an ideal spot within the city but hidden from the hustle and bustle at the same time. Our room was all the way at the top (don't worry, they help you with carrying your luggage but I opted for the free workout). The views from your room through the panoramic windows is stunning. You may be lucky to see monkeys and Macaws while lying in bed. The pool beside the bar and restaurant was kept clean and was a treat in the extremely hot and humid weather. Laundry service was also very affordable. I have only one complaint/critique: why does making sunny-side up eggs with toast take over an hour? This much delay in receiving your breakfast slows down the rest of the day as you have to begin your excursions early in the morning to get the best bang for your buck. Other than that, place is super cool and experiencing it cannot be missed!
-
This is one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed at. Waking up in the morning with a beautiful view of the rainforest is second-to-none. It's so quiet and peaceful, yet is only a short walk or drive away from many great beaches and restaurants. The staff, especially Mauriel, were amazing and very friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful at every turn. The food is also SO good I highly recommend the tuna for dinner. The bartenders are also incredibly skillful and make really good alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. This place is a true gem in Quepos. If you're thinking of staying in this area, please look no further you won't regret it! Pura Vida! Rooms: Our room had an amazing view with a small balcony. It was clean and had a huge bathroom. It was a short walk up a steep hill which is clearly mentioned on the website. Nearby activities: Lots of stuff to do in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Most tours and Ubers you book will pick you up right from the hotel. Safety: We felt very safe the whole time we were there. The hotel has a large gate that stays shut and locked at night Walkability: It's a short walk into the actual town of Quepos where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Food & drinks: They specialize in pizzas, but also have really good fish dishes for dinner. Breakfast was included and had some nice selections including fresh fruit, eggs, and pancakes. The drinks from the bar are awesome.
-
We love this hotel! Tucked away location, clean rooms, and incredibly friendy staff. The pool deck/bar area was perfect for a laid-back stay. After daytime adventures we loved stopping in for a happy hour drink and a dip. Their restaurant offers freshly made meals that were a welcome break from the busyness of Quepos. Excellent stay for couples at a reasonable rate. We’ll be back!
-
Beautiful family run resort surrounded by lush greenery, lots of monkeys and pair of Scarlett macaws nesting in tree. Short walk to marina and Malecon. Wonderful, friendly staff, great breakfast included, also you can purchase delicious pizza. We stayed in the treetop canopy room and loved it, a bit of a climb to get up but well worth it, monkeys hanging out in the trees, macaws nesting, and beautiful view.
-
Very relaxing get-a-way! The staff is super friendly and helpful! The grounds are kept immaculately! We have visited 3 times and will be back! Rooms: Very clean and comfortable rooms! Nearby activities: A 5 minute walk to a gorgeous marina with stores, gelato and restaurants. Food & drinks: The food and drinks were wonderful!!
-
The hotel is a perfect retreat to relax and recharge. My husband and I booked the couples package in the Toucan Suite, which had amazing views. The staff took care of booking all our excursions, a special dinner, and massages. I can't say enough great things about the staff. Mauriel (Mo) and Carolina were very friendly and took care of all our requests. From our welcome drink to checking out they were always happy to help with anything we needed. They truly made staying at the hotel a special experience with their charming and outgoing personalities. Room was cleaned daily. The pool was very well kept and refreshing after a long day of exploring the area while Mo or Carolina offered up great drinks and conversation at the bar. The pizza is great, as well as the daiquiris and margaritas. The owner was very personable and was a pleasure to conversation with. Macaws and monkeys made frequent visits to the hotel grounds and were a blast to watch. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Pura Vida!
-
We stayed for a couple of days and loved the hotel. Our room had an incredible view and all the comfort. The staff is particularly nice and helpful, and breakfast was great too! Highly recommend! Xxxxx
-
Las Cascadas was a really great place to stay for a couple nights in Quepos. We stayed in lodging #7, which had 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a beautiful porch. The pool is very nice and comes along with an outdoor shower that was perfect when returning from the beach. The included breakfast had a very solid Gallo Pinto/eggs and rotating fruit/plantain/etc. The bar cocktails and dinner menu were mediocre and expensive, I wouldn’t recommend, but overall a fantastic experience. They seemed to be very understaffed but those who were there were very hard-working and accommodating.
-
My wife and I loved everything about our trip and hotel. The views were stunning and the people were very friendly. The food was delicious and we saw many exotic animals. Rooms: Great view of the jungle and ocean. Very relaxing and well decorated. Room was very clean and well air conditioned. Nearby activities: Snorkeling, whitewater rafting, waterfall hikes, national park. Safety: My wife and I felt very safe. We both felt comfortable walking around the hotel and city and night. Walkability: Quick walk to Quepos. Close to the marina. Food & drinks: Good and drinks at the hotel were delicious. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel. Great deals on seafood; I had lobster tails for dinner and shrimp pastas. Noteworthy details: The staff was amazing. We loved everyone we met.
-
Carved in the side of a hill above Quepos, this small hotel is a very secluded and private location to enjoy a few nights stay. The service was very good, the food delicious, the room was comfortable and the property is well maintained. If you can’t climb steps ask for a lower level room but the upper level rooms have a view well worth the climb. The hotel is also walking distance to downtown Quepos where you can enjoy the sunset or the nice small downtown area.
-
Great cocktails and amazing friendly staff. Good location near the marina. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would recommend! Lots of wildlife to see nearby too :)
-
My wife and I loved the view; we could see the ocean and exotic animals like macaws, iguanas, and monkeys from looking out the many windows in our room. We had breakfast each morning on the property, which was both delicious and could be eaten quickly so that we could go on early morning excursions. The were times we were running late, and the staff would make the breakfast for us to go, and we would take it on our 8:00 am tour bus. Every single person we met was extremely friendly and pleasant to be around. Everything was perfect. I would not change a thing.
-
From the moment we arrived we were taken care of as royalty. This is a small property built over time by Gary, a Canadian man who has figured out how to live the good life. His staff clearly is happy to be working here. Each room is decorated uniquely, and we saw several. It was wonderful to take a swim after a hot day of hiking and sip a delicious margarita. Amazing wildlife and plants right on the grounds. This was the perfect Costa Rica experience! We look forward to visiting again!
-
My girlfriend and I vacationed here as our first trip outside of the U.S. together this past October and we had an amazing time. The staff was very welcoming and often offered suggestions of what to see and where to go for fun. The tree-top dome room had a slight hike but the view of from the canopy was well worth it. Quepos was such a unique town to stay in and had so much food, drinks, and adventures to offer. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get off the beaten path and get the true Costa Rican jungle experience.
-
Beautiful property and a great location! We saw monkeys and parrots from our room️. This property is away from the touristy strip of Manuel Antonio which is a plus. Would stay again! Rooms: air conditioning and a modern spacious bathroom
-
From start to finish this place was beyond amazing. We have stayed at a lot of different resorts/hotels, and this place makes you feel like its your own private retreat. My wife and I stayed in the Toucan suite, and every morning we were able to enjoy a cup of coffee on the back porch while looking at the ocean, watching the macaws fly by, and the monkeys swing through the trees beside us. The marina was walking distance, which has world class sport fishing and 5 different restaurants. If we felt like staying in, we could drink by the pool with the amazing cocktails served during happy hour, and the delicious dinner menu every night. You will not regret booking this hotel, we will definitely be returning.
-
A great hotel with attentive staff, nice pool and short drive to Manuel Antonio. We really enjoyed our stay here.
-
Exactly what we were looking for. We wanted our children to have an authentic experience while on vacation. However, we also wanted to have the small luxuries of a hotel stay. Las Cascadas was perfect. Our room was like an AirBnB with the staff of a hotel. This is also a family owned and managed property. The staff goes out of there way to make sure you have a great experience. Rooms: A beautiful and traditional Costa Rican room or apartment on a beautiful property. Nearby activities: We did LOTS of activities in the area including, hiking, parasaling, surf lessons, scuba diving lessons, white water rafting, ziplining, repelling, swimming and ocean view sun set dinners. It was a fantastic vacation at a fantastic location. Near the attractions but away from the overly touristy areas. Noteworthy details: Morning breakfast was serene with the beauty of nature all around you. We met many wonderful families and came to know the staff as friends. When we arrived we found out one of our excursions (that we self booked) canceled our reservations. We mentioned it to the staff and an alternative and better excursion was found, and with our approval, booked for us. 5 star customer service. Thank you for making our family vacation extraordinary.
-
Loved the location, felt lost in the jungle but close to town. All our needs were met. The staff were friendly, helpful and kind. Great breakfast, bar and pool! Very clean and cozy! They even provided us with bagged breakfast for our early morning excursions!
-
Could not recommend this hotel enough. I stayed for 5 nights in August of 2023 while I explored the area in and around Quepos. This hotel and its staff was always a joy to come back to after a long day out. The rooms and common areas are modern and kept very clean. The hotel has great views and a lot of wildlife can be seen in the area around the hotel (scarlet macaws, capuchin monkeys, frogs, etc.) The staff is the best part of this hotel. From the time I checked in until the time I checked out they were always hospitable and went above and beyond. Carolina and Mau were always helpful and great company to talk with while having a cocktail. The chef also prepared the yellowfin tuna I caught on a charter one day for me and it was delicious and plated amazingly. Bottom line: this is a gem of a hotel and you should stay here if you’re visiting Quepos/Manuel Antonio. Pura Vida Mae!
-
What a gem!!! Quepos is a great location and this hotel fits so well here. I stayed here with my husband and two young boys. It was a jungle paradise. Their rooms are amazing and practical.
-
Five friends and I enjoyed a spectacular week of fishing and exploring the region in and around Quepos in February. The location is ideal for an easy walk to the harbor and an easy stroll to nearby restaurants and attractions. The family run operation is welcoming and their in-house served meals were wonderful... An excellent dinner dining option! I highly recommend Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas and hope to stay there again soon!
-
Absolutely amazing stay! Carla and Brandon went above and beyond to help me get around the area and back to San Jose on time during my short stay
-
This is a beautiful gorgeous hotel surrounded by all the nature Manuel Antonio can offer, amazing pool, bar and restaurant, fresh food and delicious drinks! Happy hour every day at the pool the best part: the wonderful kind staff, they do everything and beyond to make your stay unforgettable! Thank you Dylan, Muriel for your warm hospitality, I can’t wait to come back, pura vida guys!
-
I had a great time, although I stayed there for 1 night. I was welcomed warmly and they took their time to show me restaurants and spots to visit on the map. The location is really close to the marina pez vela harbor, which was convenient to walk for my planned dive. The room was beautiful and I loved the view. The pizza I had was delicious. At night it was calm and I enjoyed the sound of the crickets. I appreciated how accommodating they were. I could have my breakfast to go and leave my luggage there, before I left. I enjoyed the great hospitality and will definitely come back for my next visit. Thanks a lot
-
Our experience here was truly enjoyable, and Brandon's warmth and friendliness made it even better. Throughout our three-night stay, we cherished every moment spent in this place. If you're considering a visit to Quepos and Manuel Antonio, I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are impeccably clean and equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay.
-
My wife and I took a four night trip to Quepos Costa Rica to get away. We are so glad we picked the Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas. Gary and his two sons, Brandon and Dylan, were extremely gracious hosts. The property is beautiful. We loved our room and its view. We were in "The Lux", but I believe there are many other great options. We booked the trip on very short notice and did not have any excursions planned when we arrived. Brandon and Dylan provided amazing concierge services. They were very patient with all our questions and had great suggestions. We ended up taking three excursions, where all we had to do was show up in the hotel parking lot for pickup at the time they indicated. They were zip lining, the Manuel Antonio National Park walking tour, and the Mangrove Boat Tour Damas Island. The location is perfect. It was a five minute walk to the water and downtown Quepos, but we felt like we were relaxing in the jungle while on the property. All three excursions were relatively short drives. Brandon and Dylan's assistance really made our trip extra special! They had great restaurant recommendations and did all the little things that made traveling easy. For example, one morning we left for our excursion before breakfast was served. They had fresh cut fruit and yogurt placed in our refrigerator the night before. I strongly recommend the Boutique Hotel Las Cascadas without hesitation and hope to return soon.
-
This is a lovely hotel, tucked away in the Costa Rican wilderness. The owner Gary and his sons were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The on-site restaurant has great food, the pool is refreshing and their drinks are fantastic. There’s Macaws and Toucans living in the trees and no shortage of other wildlife around. It’s a short walk (downhill) into town or to the marina. Great hidden gem.
-
My partner and I just returned from 7 days in Costa Rica and we stayed at this property for our entire trip. The location is great, it’s tucked up on a hill right at the end of the main road of Quepos and at the bottom of the road that takes you into Manuel Antonio. We loved the location as it was beautiful and tranquil but super close to the action if you wanted some. It is an easy 10 minute walk to Quepos and you can find lots of restaurants and shops there. The marina at the end of the road is also a great place for food and shops. The hotel itself has a nice layout for both privacy and for gathering and hanging out with other guests. The pool area was really the heart of the property and we spent lots of time there getting to know other guests and making friends. The space was very conducive to socializing but each suite was completely private. There are a few pairs of beautiful macaws that live on the property and it was amazing to see them fly around in tandem. There are two dogs that live on the property too and they were sweet, friendly and awesome to hang out with. The family that owns and runs the place are awesome. It really does have that family vibe, almost like you’re visiting an aunt and uncle in paradise. Dylan and Brandon (the sons of the owners) are taking over the day to day operations and they are both very helpful, kind and friendly. Need aloe because you forgot to bring it? Need dominos for a game with your newfound friends? Need groceries in your suite? They will happily accommodate your requests! Gary and Catalina took the time to meet and get to know the guests and they too were so kind and helpful. The breakfast service was amazing and we had excellent meals every morning. The coconut banana pancakes were a real hit as was the French toast. We left breakfast full every day to enjoy the many excursions available in the area! We loved the catamaran sunset tour, the night jungle tour and our time in Manuel Antonio with a guide. During our stay they had some staffing shortage issues so sometimes the dinner services were challenged but there are lots of local spots within walking distance to find a great mea if you are inclined. I know the owners are working hard to resolve their staffing shortage so I’m sure it is very temporary. This place is not an all inclusive but (some options of) breakfast is included. We veered away from the included breakfast items most days, had drinks from the bar, and ate from the restaurant for several other small meals/snacks and the our bill at check out was very reasonable. To summarize; private and spacious comfortable rooms with great AC, beautiful property, lovely family and the chance to meet new friends makes this an overall 5 star experience for us and we can’t wait to return!

We (my partner and I) had just returned in the wee hours of the morning and we’re still heavy with vacation afterglow so a sleep was needed for an attempt at being impartial. We had decided to spend our entire week at Las Cascadas (LC). Knowing that it was not an all inclusive, we came at it with a, “use where we’re staying as a headquarters only” approach, figuring we’d spend far more time off the hotel grounds, exploring what Quepos and Manuel Antonio had to offer. I will say, if a typical all inclusive resort vibe or a big party vibe are your goal(s) of a vacation, this might not be the best fit for your needs. It is not a place to go if you’re expecting immaculate catering at a snap of your fingers or partying into the wee hours of the morning at an on-site discotheque. The vibe is more designed for laidback socializing, relaxation and tranquility. Each suite is its own unit, lending well to having your own private space while the hotel grounds are designed to encourage social interaction between guests. My partner and I are somewhat private (more like shy, but okay, let’s go with private) people and each night was spent having fun and friendly conversation with other guests from all over the world, and even the owner and his family! More often than not, the chats went beyond idle pleasantries. It was genuinely friendly conversation. We even made great friends from Oregon that we will be keeping in touch with. A total first for us! This was all made possible by the design of the hotel and the very unique energy about it; all provided by the friendly and down to earth owners, Gary, Catalina, and their sons, Dylan and Brandon, who are currently learning how to run the resort. Admittedly, there were a couple of minor hiccups with the accommodations, but we came to learn that a few of the integral staff positions were changing hands during our stay, which made the quality of service decline in a couple of areas, but these were very minor and not significant enough to negatively affect the overall quality of the vacation because at the end of the day, a vacation is not only about relaxing somewhere tropical, but it’s about the memories being made and this was by far the most unforgettable 7 days we’ve ever had the privilege of being part of. I would return to this hotel without any hesitation. Thank you Gary, Catalina, Dylan, Brandon, and all of the staff at Las Cascadas. You guys create memories for a living and are exceptional at your jobs!

Our family ( 2 adults, 3 children) spent 4 nights at Las Cascadas and enjoyed every minute. We would definitely return to the area and Las Cascadas on another trip to Cascadas. The owners are so hospitable, our family stayed in two separate rooms and when we accidentally booked rooms that were a distance apart in the booking they helped us find another room that was close by. Our kids enjoyed the pool and searching for the wildlife around the property from the monkeys and macaws in the treetops to frogs and lizards in the gardens. The rooms were clean, the food was great and the atmosphere was friendly and quaint. Definitely worth including it in your itinerary!
-
We came 2 families. Since we arrived in very rainy night the first impression was wrong.... The rooms are big, clean and well equiped. Must say that overall maintanence is fine. Service very good. Rooms kitchen have all the required tools to cook in house Breakfast is basic continnetal

A hidden oasis. Has everything you need. Great service, nice restaurant and bar. Owner and sons are very willing to help with any needs !
-
Really enjoyed my stay here. Spent 3 days . Location is nice and tucked away, but still very close to town and about 15 minutes from the beach and the park. Saw some fun wildlife at the hotel including parrots and a capuchin. I stayed in the Junior sweet, which was small, but enough for just me and my wife. Only real issue was that the wifi didn't work very well just in the bedroom. Outside of that, this was a great place to stay. I would gladly come back.
-
This was our first stop for our trip to Costa Rica and it was such a lovely place to begin. We stayed in a tree top room, it is indeed a steep hike to the room but nothing that should keep anyone with average fitness away. We had Macau’s nesting outside of our room and had some great monkey watching as well. The family that runs it are very nice and helpful, Dylan especially who gave us some great suggestions on how to spend our time in the area. The vibe is quiet and relaxed, the pool is lovely and the bar is well stocked. It’s humble in the good ways.
-
What a great place to stay! It’s located just off of, but accessible to the main roads in the jungle, and has great rooms! The on-site bar/restaurant was fantastic as well! Walkability: This is located right up the hill from the marina, excellent spot. Food & drinks: The food & drink options were excellent! Coconuts (the restaurant) was great for breakfast & dinner.
-
Wonderful place to stay. Family owned and run boutique hotel was a great experience. I stayed in multiple rooms, as they were at capacity when I arrived, and they were all clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and the drinks were cold! Monkeys, Macuas, and iguanas galore if you love nature. It is only a short distance from Marina Pez Vela, which you can walk to or get a cab within a few minutes. The owner, Gary, was great to talk too and was full of information on the area. His sons Brandon and Dylan took superb care of us our entire stay. Will definitely stay again when I return to Quepos!
-
Great location: nestled in the hill on the edge of town but a 5-minute walk to the marina, the "malecon" and the town of Quepos. Clean, quiet (except for the noisy avian life!) and comfortable. We appreciated the personal attention of a family-owned and operated small hotel. After the crowds of Manuel Antonio Park, it was great to retreat to our little quiet place in the hills.
-
The family run operation is second to none. They attention to detail and cleanliness of the place is top notch. We will definitely be back to enjoy the amenities and the quaint family comforts afforded by the staff. This is definitely a place to stay.
-
Stayed here for 3 nights. The location, service and facilities are excellent. The two young guys and young lady who work in the reception/bar and restaurant are awesome and go that extra mile. Wildlife paradise for macaws, monkeys and toucan sighting. Stayed in the tree top canopy. Definitely recommend and it’s not far from Manuel Antonio’s beaches. Food and drink only a short walk.
-
We loved Las Cascadas! We were there for 3 nights at the end of our Costa Rican stay. Dylan and his family were amazing hosts, and the property is lovely. We were in a 1 bedroom condo and we felt like we were at home. It had a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a comfy couch/bed, and a separate bedroom. Outside of our apartment we had our own seating area where we could see the nesting macaws coming and going. It's a quiet refuge from the hotels all along the road to Manuel Antonio. We relaxed in the pool when we got home from excursions and met other wonderful guests. It feels like a home away from home.

Our family of 3 stayed here for four nights in February 2023, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot to be immersed in nature but a short walk away from everything we needed. This hotel, which is also called Condotel Las Cascadas, is 230 m up a small road from Marina Pez Vela. There is another hotel called Las Cascadas/The Falls on the main road in Manuel Antonio, with a restaurant called Falls Garden. That’s a different property, but it’s easy to get confused. This one is a small hotel on a hill in the heart of the jungle, but close to Quepos. I was here for the animals, and they were here for me! There is a family of scarlet macaws that live in a tree trunk in the middle of the property, and capuchin monkeys that put on a “monito show” every day. My last day there was a toucan perched on the macaws’ trunk. There are all kinds of birds, lizards, and butterflies everywhere. At sunrise and sunset, grab a chaise by the pool, listen to the forest and watch the “guacamaya show”, when lots of macaws are passing overhead. As if that’s not enough, there are two sweet resident dogs who love to spend time with the guests. Every morning when I got up at sunrise, one or the other of the dogs came to greet me and have a cuddle. One liked to spend late nights with my husband on our patio, laying by his feet and enjoying quiet time together. We had room 1, which is a one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and a large patio beside the pool. The rooms are unique, bohemian and eclectic, with lots of local art and furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped, the A/C worked well, and the bed was comfy. There is a Netflix guest account on the tv. I hate smoke, especially when I’ve travelled a long way to be outside and enjoy nature. There weren’t many smokers here, and the few that we did see were respectful of the rules. I was thrilled to be free to breathe at the pool and restaurant! There is a balcony upstairs beside the pool that is the “smoking section” so the smoke goes up and doesn’t bother the people below. That balcony, when empty, was also a great place to sit and watch the changing sky at sunset. The complimentary breakfast at Coconuts restaurant was excellent. The three choices were continental, gallo pinto (eggs, rice, beans), and banana coconut pancakes (amazing!). We had dinner there one night, and it was outstanding. Dinner is an elevated menu with a relaxed atmosphere and, while it was one of the pricier meals we had on our trip, it was by far the best. We had a curried chicken dish (the special that night) and a wagyu hamburger. Everything was top quality and super fresh, and presented artfully. In the area is everything you need and want, and you don’t have to rent a car (as long as you are able to walk up/down the hill leading to the hotel). Go down to Marina Pez Vela to sit on the big steps with all the locals and tourists watching the sunset. Walk down the malecon along the water, where there are macaws in the almond trees and people fishing, having picnics, and enjoying life. There are tons of stores and restaurants in Quepos (we loved Soda Sanchez). I didn’t like the vibe around the casino at night, but otherwise I never felt unsafe in Quepos. At the bus station in town, you can get the Manuel Antonio bus for less than $1 per person. The road to Manuel Antonio is full of nice restaurants and a beautiful ride through the hills. There are gorgeous public beaches on the route, and the national park is the last stop. This hotel is owned by a wonderful family, and they treat you like family. My husband had a bad knee on our trip, they offered us a ride to Quepos when they passed us on the hill. They also gave him some fresh spices from the restaurant to calm the inflammation in his knee. There is a labour shortage in Costa Rica, so business owners and the workers they have are working very hard to keep people happy. Please keep this in mind and be kind and understanding with all those serving you!

Las Cascadas is a treasure that deserves a new Indiana Jones movie. Set in a secluded mountainside covered in all shades of green, the hotel provides breathtaking views of the ocean, wildlife and surrounding mountains providing total privacy and peace, while at the same time being a short walk away from the Marina and shopping center. Each room boasts a different name and decoration. Our room had a full kitchen better equipped than my small NYC apartment, and a separate sitting area with an indoor waterfall- which can be switched on and off according to the guests’ mood. But what made our stay at Las Cascadas memorable was meeting Gary and Catalina who own and run the hotel. They treated us like family including their two entrepreneurial young sons who are an important part of their team. The food was delicious and the service outstanding . Could have not been happier!
-
Excellent customer service. The staff spoke great English and Spanish. Beautiful views from our room. We have never been to Costa Rica before and I would have been so lost without them
-
Had a wonderful time staying here! We chose the honeymoon suite and the views from the room were amazing. We saw many animals including a pair of macaws that nested right outside our balcony. The climb up to the room isn’t for the faint of heart but it was absolutely worth it at the top. We were also warned how strenuous this climb would be before we booked which is a great example of the care the owners show to their guests. While staying we found out this hotel is family owned and operated. The level of service was outstanding. We interacted with the sons the most and they were incredibly polite and helpful. You can tell everyone there cares about the property and their guests. We would absolutely stay again and recommended this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Quepos! *Those with mobility issues may want to call before booking, some rooms would not be suitable due to accessibility (stairs, steep hill, etc)
-
Great staff. All speak English. Very cute boutique hotel located atop a hill less than a 5 minute walk from the marina.
-
We spent 4 nights in The Lux at Hotel Las Cascadas. It is a beautiful property within walking distance to the town. All of our tours, including transportation, were arranged by the staff. We relaxed in the pool/restaurant area and looked forward to our meals at the restaurant. If you are going to Quepos, I highly recommend Las Cascadas.
-
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff was great and knowledgeable about the area and had recommendations for what to do and see while we were there. We will absolutely stay here again when we return!
-
Beautiful well priced boutique hotel with excellent service and unique rooms. Highly recommended.
-
A wonderful family-run hotel. Perfect location, staff, ambiance, and room. We will be back!
-
A great hotel, not just made by its views but by its lovely staff. We booked the tree top canopy room and were treated to an amazing view over to the mountains, with a macaw parrot nest within about 5m of us! The parrots (who aren't noisy) were amazing to watch, with the room being spacious and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of Quepos and a short car/taxi drive from Manuel Antonio.
-
Great hotel, if you stay at the dome be prepared to work for it. It’s a steep slope and it does not have steps all the way up. While there I saw macaws, white head monkeys, duck looking birds, and two dogs lol I recommend the place!
-
This place is beautiful. Set in the hills where there are tons of birds to watch. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is kind and welcoming. Great jumping off point for many adventures. Love it here.
-
What a beautiful oasis! This was a little hard to find the first time up the hill but well worth it! A complete hotel, we enjoyed drinks in the bar, the pool, a great breakfast and an easy drive into the local village for lunch or dinner- stay here as soon as you can!
-
Ahhh-Mazing!! We stumbled upon this hotel when our VRBO failed us, and I’m so glad it did! Dylan, Gary and Catalina have created a hidden paradise in the hills of Quepos. The rooms are so comfortable and the views are stunning. You have to try the famous Banana Coconut pancakes, they are to die for!! The staff is very friendly, accommodating and they speak English if you need it. Our vacation was so very blessed by this little hotel in the hills. Thank you for having us, we will see you again!! Roy & Ramie
-
Friendly, helpful, and English-speaking staff. If you are looking for a place in Manuel Antonio area but don't like crowded, noisy commercial area, this is a great choice. We stayed at a tree-top unit that has a great view. Two beautiful macaws have a nest on a treetop right in front of our balcony. Dylan, the manager, decorated our room with flowers, brought champagne for a birthday celebration! He even carried our suitcases up hills to our room. We also received a lot of helpful information on restaurant, tours etc. Overall, it was a fantastic stay! Will return in the future.
-
March 20-29, 2022 Beautifully kept little piece of paradise exceptionally ran by Dylan, Viviana and Daniela. Monkeys daily, parrots, iguanas and the cutest little dogs made us feel right at home. We've made lifelong friends and can't wait to go back .
-
We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful place. Great staff, good breakfast and cocktails in the evening at the pool. The room was very clean and we had all we needed. A lot of flowers and animals around completed the picture.
-
Truly amazing experience. The staff is extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, fresh and the drinks were some of the best I've ever had. 10/10 highly recommended.
-
Super people, Cory & Britt rock. I haven't been in a hostel since 1992....still groovy!
-
Splendid! The Staff made sure we were taken care of, They suggested a few tours and got us on one of their personal favorites our stay here was appreciable. There rooms were tidy, clean, hot showers, clean sheets and an awesome breakfast to start our day! Definitely going to visit again next time we're in the area! BIG THANKS!
-
Each stay just accentuates the quality and ubniquness of this place! Each unit has its own special qualities! The artwork and personal attention is unbelievable! Each year it gets better and better! It's unique and authentic to Costa Rica! Clean, personal, and vibrant in every way. The monkeys, tucans, and Macaws visits are just some things that add to the ambiance. Dillon and Brandon always have time to help make your stay unbelievable!!
-
Amazing place to stay in Costa Rica! The staff are incredibly friendly and put in the effort to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Would definitely come back again.
-
Amazing service and location hidden in Quepos. Took care of us and our surf board for 2 days Ps there are trails and monkeys
-
This place is beautiful, beds are the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on staff is friendly and the view from our balcony was everything. Definitely recommended, not for senior citizens though, since the walk to the rooms was kind of steep.
-
Incredible place. Kind and helpful personel allows you to feel like home. Breakfast are the best we came across in last two weeks even the rice and beans tastes better. They were so kind to take my daughter allergies under consideration and prepare something especially for her, so she didn't eat jam and toast again for breakfast. You can have tasty pizza, beer & drink by the pool, really nice. The garden is amazing, you get to see monkeys and Aras evwryday just next to you. We came here for one night on the way to Corcovado and we stayed for few. It takes several minutes to go to National Park. And plenty of activities nearby. It was a really pleasant stay.
-
Beautiful hotel with a unique style that makes you feel part of nature. Great pool area for relaxation, restaurants and marina within walking distance. Breakfast included. Highly recommended!
-
Found this place on expedia. The owner and staff are very friendly and easy going. They really put in the effort to help you enjoy your stay.Rooms are very clean and the breakfast/drinks are great. The location is very convenient very close to the marina and city of quepos.
-
We had the Tree Top Canopy Room and we loved everything about this hotel. The view is absolutely breathtaking. It's as if it's in a movie. We were surrounded by so much nature. To be on all that nature, we had absolutely no issues with any bids getting into our room! The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The food was great. Everyone was nice and hospitable. I will definitely recommend to others and most definitely will come back
-
Honestly such an amazing experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room is so gorgeous and has a unique set up. Pool and breakfast area are clean and have a pleasant design for sure five star
-
Absolutely beautiful condotel! Animals roaming around... But what really makes this place amazing is the hospitality. The whole family and staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met! ¡Pura vida!
-
We loved staying here. The hotel is mostly a family operation. The room was very nice and clean. The service was great! Dallas provided us with advice on places to go and was tremendously helpful! We even had Capuchin Monkeys outside of our room, which was a lot of fun. The place is well located to visit Manuel Antonio National Park. You should have the hotel help you make arrangements to avoid scams. Dallas recommended a hike to a nearby beach, Playa La Macha. The hike was difficult and required actual climbing, but the beach was worth the trip. We had great food at the on-site restaurant. If you pick one of the Tree Top Canopy rooms, be prepared for an uphill walk, but we looked at it as a way to get some extra exercise on our trip. It's a little challenging to get to the hotel, especially in the dark. But, it was worth the effort.
-
Very relaxing quaint hotel with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Centrally located just a short ride from Manuel Antonio. I would highly recommend Las Cascadas to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway at a great value.
-
I just got back to the states from my travels in Costa Rica and just wanted to take the time to address the excellence during our stay at Las Cascadas. Everything was very clean and the team is very helpful. They also make you feel at home and welcomed which isn’t very common these days. Customer service is awesome-they helped book all of our tours (ATV, Zip-lining and Water rafting) through them which made everything very convenient and stress-free. They provide delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast options with amazing coffee and also homemade pizza for lunch or dinner! Taxis are available to you within minutes and could take you to Manuel Antonio which is about 5-10 minutes from the hotel so the location is also great. I definitely recommend staying here as I will be returning in the future.
